| Even though the dollar is worth less against the Euro and the Yen, there are still some travel bargains to be had with cheap Caribbean travel deals. And while it's probably not the first place you think of when you consider the Caribbean, you might want to think about visiting the island of St. Thomas for your next Caribbean vacation. According to a recommendation from a New York Times travel writer, "St. Thomas absolutely fits the bill, said Nick Kaye, who wrote a New York Times "Going To" column on that island (Oct. 23, 2005). "It's easy to get to, less expensive than many spots in the Caribbean and offers all kinds of options," he wrote in an e-mail message. Kaye recommends the Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort (5 Estate Bakkeroe; 340-776- 8500; www.frenchmansreef marriott.com), which, while family-friendly, is a quintessential big Caribbean resort." So, if you can booked there and get a cheap airfare out there, you might be able to have a really nice Caribbean vacation on the cheap. Well, what are you waiting for? |
