Leaving the Sunbelt for a Caribbean Cruise Sounds Good |

When I got up this morning in Phoenix, I found a layer of ice over everything. The roofs, the cars, and the lawn furniture were all covered in ice, not just frost. It made me think about going somewhere warmer, and I am looking this morning at cheap Caribbean travel as an escape to this cold, wet winter we have had. While this is the Sunbelt, which is supposed to be warm in the winter, it has been exceptionally cold and wet which has even desert dwellers thinking about a Caribbean vacation. A Caribbean cruise sounds just right about now, and I will probably be able to find a good rate by checking online for a week's vacation or so, so I could float on a warm blue sea. I'm hoping that I can find cheap airfare to get me to Florida in the next week or two, but since it is high season, that is probably out of the question. But it would be worth it to pay retail, and be able to put on a bathing suit and lay in the warm sun for a few hours a day, and eat fantastic food at night. |
