This is a good year to go on a Caribbean vacation. Because of current economic conditions here in the United States, people are looking for ways to save money on their vacations this year. I usually travel to Europe every year, but I’m not going this summer because the airfare is too expensive and the U.S. Dollar isn’t doing too well against the Euro.
If you normally go to Europe each year, I recommend a Caribbean vacation instead. It is much cheaper to travel to the Caribbean from the United States than it is to go there from Europe. In fact many Europeans dream of a vacation to the Caribbean in the same way that some Americans dream of a trip to Italy, Greece, France or Spain. As a British woman who was raised in a cold, gray and rainy coastal town not far from the Scottish border, I think that any American who fails to take advantage of his relative proximity to the beautiful Caribbean needs his/her head examined.
