cheap caribbean travel, hotel discount

I've been to Belize for a caribbean vacation often enough to know when not to go. In fact, if I want cheap caribbean travel, I don't travel to Belize in the high season.

As I've stated before, going in the high season is much more expensive, the service is considerably slower, and booking dive boats or sailing craft is much more hectic and pressured.

No, if you've never been to Belize, and you want cheap caribbean travel hosted by warm and friendly people willing to offer a considerable hotel discount, go in the summer if you can.

Why? Far less people, and the people that are there are far more laid-back. In fact, if you really want to lay-back, and travel back in time a bit to what the caribbean was like twenty or thirty years ago, take the little boat rideto Caye Caulker and stay a while--it still has sand streets: that's right, it has sand streets with large ship's ropes across the streets for speed bumps--speed bumps for the golf carts!

You can't make stuff like this up. And the lobster there is incredible; as well, there are a variety of vendors andrestaurants selling it. Moreover, it is delicious--you can have it prepared a variety of ways. Furthermore, if you want to watch the lobster, instead of to eat it, there's good diving offered from the island as well.

So, for cheap caribbean travel, try Belize in the summer.
