caribbean vacation, caribbean cruiseIn an earlier post I mentioned that I might be going on a Caribbean cruise in 2010. Well it seems that there has been a slight change of plan. We are no longer planning a Caribbean cruise. Instead my husband and I are planning to take our three grandchildren on a Caribbean vacation for five days in January or February. We would like our Caribbean vacation to be either to Puerto Rico or St John’s, which is one of the US Virgin Islands. If we choose a destination that is still part of the US we will not have to worry about getting passports for our grandkids. I am already looking online for cheap Caribbean travel deals and I will keep looking until I find something suitable at one of the aforementioned destinations. At the moment I am looking at hotels, vacation rentals and flights and trying to figure out what would be the cheapest way to do it. I am already very excited about this trip even though we haven’t actually booked it yet. The closest I have been to the Caribbean is the Florida Keys and I loved it there. My step-grandkids have never had anything close to a Caribbean vacation and I can’t wait to see them take it all in.
