caribbean vacationMy husband and I are both friends with his ex-wife Vickie because though her marriage to my husband did not work out she is a very nice person. I saw Vickie recently when she came to our house to see the grandchildren. She told me that she is going on a Caribbean vacation to Aruba with some of her girlfriends this coming weekend. This Caribbean vacation will be the first real break Vickie has ever had in her life. Yet despite this fact I got the impression that she feels slightly guilty for taking a Caribbean vacation on her own without her partner or any of her family members. That is why I told Vickie that she should not feel guilty about going on a Caribbean vacation. Vickie has worked hard all of her life so to my way of thinking this trip is the very least she deserves. I love going on vacations and I never feel guilty about it so for me her attitude was a little hard to understand. The way I see it everybody deserves a break from their normal routine every once in a while, it is good for reducing stress and restoring the psyche.
